WHAT"S HAPPENING IN WOMEN'S MINISTRIES?

Saturday, April 26 at 11:00 am will be the women's spring fling. This year there will be a talent show. All women, girls who would like to participate please contact Lou Cobb, 855-4723. Our guest speaker will be Grace Egan, missionary to India. Reservations requested but not required.

WMU was started in 1888 to educate and involve women of all ages and missions and is supported through the sale of literature, ie; magazines like MISSION MOZAIC.  WMU is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention and for the last 2 years the theme has been CHRIST FOLLOWERS.

GET INVOLVED!

  • Christ was a prayer warrior.  You can be too.
  • Mission work: be a leader in AWANA.
  • Collect tabs for Ronald's House.  A gallon of tabs provides a night's lodging for a hurting family.
  • Burden Bear project for Hospice.  Cut out, sew or stuff bears for St. Joseph's Hospice.  Crochet or knit a blanket for the bears.
  • NEW: quilts, blankets for disaster victims.
  • NEW: Kathy's House - women's shelter in San Juan Capisatrano.  They have financial needs, need volunteers to drive women to appointments, painters, and cooks to freeze meals for them.
  • Operation Christmas Child in the fall.
